Online Orientation 2015 Banner

Welcome to the SingHealth Residency Online Orientation! We hope this Online Orientation will provide you with the information you need as a new Resident.

The Online Orientation programme consists of 2 compulsory parts:

PART A: Residency Orientation (6 modules) and Quiz

PART B: Infection Control e-orientation and Quiz (hosted on Blackboard)

It is recommended that you complete one module at a time. You should attempt the Part A Residency Orientation Quiz after going through all 6 learning modules in Part A, and complete the quiz in one sitting.


IMPORTANT:

• Please key in your name and MCR no. or MOHH employee no. (if MCR no. is not available) at the start of the quiz.

• Completion of Part A and Part B of the Online Orientation Program is a pre-requisite to utilise the SingHealth Supplementary Resident Training Fund (SRTF).

ONLINE ORIENTATION : PART A

Learning Objectives: After completing this module, you will be able to:

  1. Identify the key personnel in SingHealth Graduate Medical Education Office.
  2. Recognize the functions of the different units comprising the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office.

Learning Objectives: On completing this module, you will be able to:

  1. Explain the ACGME-I six core competencies.
  2. Understand how the six core competencies are applied in a physician’s daily activities.

Learning Objectives: On completing this module, you will be able to:

  1. Identify the components of Resident Educational Environment
  2. Identify the roles of the Office of Residents’ Affairs and the support services available.
  3. State the functions of Blackboard Learning Management System
  4. State the functions of New Innovations Residency Management System
  5. Describe the options for access to SingHealth library resources
  6. Identify the channels to raise grievances or seek redress and counselling

Learning Objectives: On completing this module, you will be able to:

  1. Have a broad overview of the policies and procedures governing Residency Training
  2. Understand policies on Selection, Employment, Appointment, Re-appointment and Promotion
  3. Know the workflow on raising grievances
  4. Have insight on leave policy and maximum candidature

  1. Recall the Duty Hours policies in SingHealth Residency.
  2. Identify signs of fatigue in yourself and others.
  3. Describe strategies that mitigate against the effects of fatigue.

  1. Recognize the Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct to be adhered by an employee or representative of SingHealth
  2. Apply the required process with regard to Moonlighting and Vendor Interaction
  3. Adhere to the SingHealth Social Media Policy when engaging social media platforms
